The Courts of Alberta congratulate the Honourable Mary Moreau on her nomination to the Supreme Court of Canada.
As a lawyer, judge and Chief Justice of the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, Chief Justice Moreau’s service to Albertans and commitment to equality and fairness in this province have been exemplary.
Chief Justice of Alberta Ritu Khullar said: “It is with great pleasure and pride that I congratulate our very own Chief Justice Mary Moreau on her nomination to the Supreme Court of Canada.”
“Chief Justice Moreau’s resolute and effective contribution to justice and the administration of justice in Alberta, through her inspired leadership and thoughtful collaboration, cannot be overstated nor can our gratitude,” Chief Justice Khullar said.
“We are pleased that Chief Justice Moreau’s significant contribution to justice in Canada will continue in her new role as a justice of the Supreme Court.”
