  • Group Bar Call Pilot Project 2019

    The Court of Queen’s Bench is organizing a group bar call in each of Edmonton and Calgary. We are interested in providing this service to articling students who do not wish to have a private ceremony while maintaining the option of the individual bar call for others. The dates are July 26, 2019 (Edmonton) and August 9, 2019 (Calgary). The bar call will take place at 1:30 p.m. Chief Justice Moreau will preside over the ceremony in Edmonton and Associate Chief Justice Rooke will preside over the ceremony in Calgary.

  • Proposed Lifting of Suspension of the ADJ/JDR Rules

  • Masters Office Counter Closure - Edmonton

    Owing to limited resources, the Edmonton Masters Office counter will be closed full days effective January 7, 2019. Like the Court Coordinators counter closure, the closure of the Edmonton Masters Office counter allows the Court to redeploy resources in connection with enhanced scheduling initiatives.

  • Court Coordinators Counter Closure - Calgary and Edmonton

    Owing to limited resources, the Edmonton and Calgary Court Coordinators counters will both now be closed full days effective December 3, 2018. The Court Coordinators counter closure allows the Court to redeploy resources to continue with enhanced scheduling initiatives; and follows a pilot project in Edmonton that commenced with half day closures in June 2018 and with full day closures in Calgary in September 2018. Counsel and litigants may continue to call or email Court Coordinators for scheduling purposes.
