Justices Bruce McDonald, Peter Martin, Elizabeth Hughes, Patricia Rowbotham and Thomas W. Wakeling all retired from the Court of Appeal of Alberta between late 2023 and December 2024.

“Your combined 104 years of service is remarkable for the number of years you have dedicated to the courts and to the administration of justice in this province,” she said. “It also signals the depth and breadth of experience you brought to every case. You will all be missed.”
