Effective
September 22, 2026, all sentence speak-to matters will be heard by a single
judge of the Court of Appeal of Alberta and will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sentence
appeals and criminal panel applications, which are heard by a three-judge
panel, will follow at 10:00 a.m.
These changes
are reflected in the Court Calendar and the Court Lists. Both
are available on the Court of Appeal of Alberta’s website.
