Further to the January 13, 2023 announcement regarding Court of Appeal operations, the following update is provided.
Hearings
All hearings will proceed as scheduled.
All single judge matters will continue to be heard electronically in accordance with the April 20, 2022 Notice to the Profession and Public.
Filing
Documents can continue to be filed electronically via CAMS by visiting https://cams.albertacourts.ca/public-portal/. Documents will be reviewed and processed in the usual course.
Effective January 23, 2023, in Edmonton:
- The Registry counter is open.
- The use of the drop-off box is discontinued.
- Litigants who have an e-filing exemption can file documents at the Registry counter.
- Searches can be made at the Registry counter.
Calgary Operations
Calgary operations are unaffected. The Registry counter in Calgary remains open, and hearings in Calgary will proceed as scheduled.
