Reminder of Digital Order Capabilities Within the KB Civil Filing Digital Service

Sep 23, 2025

Between December 2024 and April 2025, the Court of King’s Bench Civil Filing Digital Service introduced digital orders and expanded to include a full range of order types.

Digital orders are created by filling out an online form instead of uploading PDFs. They can be drafted, attached, and submitted as part of a filing request all within the civil filing service. Benefits include decreasing the chance of rejection, improving efficiency, and speeding up processes.

Key features include:

  • Allowing a Justice or Applications Judge to edit an order prior to signing, rather than rejecting back for minor corrections.
  • Pre-populating style of cause and other required details, to reduce data entry errors.
  • Support for consent orders through digital consent functionality, which allows lawyers to easily consent to a proposed digital order on behalf of their clients rather than collecting signatures on paper or PDF documents.

Digital orders functionality is stable, effective, and available for all applications where orders are accepted by the King’s Bench Civil Filing Digital Service for both Justice and Applications Judges.

More information about digital orders can be found on the service’s help page; there is a distinct section focused solely on digital orders (digital orders section of the help page).
