Remote Regular Chambers/Duty - Province-Wide

Applications Judges Province-wide
Effective June 3 2020, the Court will commence hearing regular Applications Judges Chambers applications (with an anticipated length of 20 minutes or less) remotely via Webex video and audio. Webex links for Chambers are available online at: https://albertacourts.ca/qb/court-operations-schedules.
 
Edmonton and Calgary
Regular Applications Judges Chambers will be held at 10 am every Court sitting day, Tuesday through Friday. Bankruptcy Hearing Lists will be held at 10 am every Monday the Court is sitting (excepting holidays).
 
Regional
Regional Regular Applications Judges Chambers will be held in accordance with the available sitting dates and start times outlined online under Operations & Schedules. Additional dates may be provided if demand and resources allow. Note: Regional Applications Judges Chambers will proceed by phone until further notice.

Regular Applications Judges Chambers will be reserved for parties who are unable to use the consent order, electronic without notice or with notice desk processes (i.e. due to lack of consent by Counsel, for example) as announced by the Court here:
 

To secure a hearing date, parties are first required to view available sitting dates online under Operations & Schedules. Once parties have determined an appropriate (available and alternate) sitting date, they may contact the Clerk's Office (electronically) by sending their proposed Application and form of Order, along with their proposed available and alternate date in accordance with the procedures outlined here.

 

Template forms of Order are available on the Courts Website by click on the Area or Type of Law and Forms or Templates). Parties must also include any other information they intend to rely on as the Applications Judge hearing the Application will not have ready access to any other materials (even if previously filed). The Clerk's Office will return the filed Application and confirmation of the hearing date via email for the Applicant to serve (i.e. give notice to) the Respondent (where applicable) of the Application, including the hearing date, time and location.

Those parties who do not have access to technology to seek a regular Applications Judges Chambers date electronically, may continue to seek a date from the Clerk's Office in person.

Civil Justice - Edmonton and Calgary
Effective June 3, 2020, the Court will commence hearing regular Civil Justice applications (with an anticipated length of 20 minutes or less) remotely via Webex video and audio in Edmonton and Calgary. Webex links for Chambers are available online under Operations & Schedules.
 
Regular Civil Chambers will continue to be held at 10 am every Court sitting day.

Family Chambers - Edmonton and Calgary
Effective June 3, 2020, the Court will commence hearing regular Family Chambers applications (with an anticipated length of 20 minutes or less) remotely via Webex video and audio.
 
Regular Family Chambers will be held at 10 am every Court sitting day.
 
Regular Family Chambers dates will be scheduled in Family Docket Court after considering whether the matter is appropriate for a dispute resolution process or for a desk application process as announced by the Court here: 
 
 
Parties are required to seek a date by attending Family Docket in accordance with the procedures outlined here.

Regional Justice Chambers (Red Deer, Lethbridge and All Circuit Point Locations)
Effective June 3, 2020, the Court will commence hearing regular Family and Civil Justice Chambers applications (with an anticipated length of 20 minutes or less) remotely via Webex video and audio in all regional base and circuit sitting points. Webex links for Chambers are available online under Operations & Schedules.
 
Regional Justice Chambers will be held at the dates and times published in the Court Calendar. Additional dates may be provided if demand and resources allow.
 
Regular Family Chambers will be reserved for parties who are unable to use the consent order, electronic notice to disclose or with notice desk processes (i.e. due to lack of technology or consent, for example) as announced by the Court here:
