Effective immediately, legal assistant access will be available in CCM.
By June 4, 2024, all legal assistants requiring access to CCM must create their own account.
Where a lawyer already has an existing CCM account, any legal assistant who wishes to perform tasks in CCM on behalf of that lawyer must create their own account and request access from their lawyer(s). Only upon a lawyer’s approval will the legal assistant be able to work in CCM.
If the lawyer does not have an existing account in CCM, they must create an account prior to the legal assistant requesting access. A lawyer must have a CCM account for their legal assistants to use CCM.
As with all Justice Digital services, each lawyer account must be associated with an Alberta Bar ID. Bar IDs must only be associated to a lawyer's account.
If you have an existing CCM account that does not align with the above requirements, please reach out to our support inbox for assistance at jsg.courtcasemanagementsupport@gov.ab.ca
Instructions on how to create an account and of legal assistant functionality can be found in the Counsel Quick Guide here.
